LJB continues its position as a leader in the tilt-up concrete industry by earning three more Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA) Achievement Awards. At last month’s TCA Convention & Expo, LJB continued our consistent streak of award-winning projects, earning award numbers 87-89 in our impressive history.
This year’s award winners include:
Fire Station No. 45 – Ottawa, ON
Fire Station No. 45 is a modern emergency services facility serving the growing needs of a rural area in Ottawa. The 12,000-square-foot facility was constructed using tilt-up concrete—an intentional shift from traditional cast-in-place methods. This provided structural efficiency, aesthetic consistency, and timely delivery in the face of market-wide supply and labor challenges.
This three-story, Class A office space provides 54,000 square feet of sophisticated office space, as part of the first phase of an office park near Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama. The structure features large, punched openings, and glazed entryways with cantilevered steel canopies, and LJB designed the building for future tenant build-outs, with structural provisions for screen walls, mechanical pads, and recessed entries.
Sprint Transport Headquarters – La Porte, TX
This four-story, 18,400-square-foot office building serves as the new headquarters for Sprint Transport, which provides bulk liquid transportation along the Gulf Coast. Adjacent to the office is a 32,500-square-foot maintenance and tank wash area, supporting truck repairs and cleaning tanker trailers and ISO tanks.
