LJB assisted a longtime client in bringing its critical electronic infrastructure up to current standards while keeping their data housed on proprietary company-owned servers for better control and retrieval of data. The goal of the project was to provide the organization with a disaster recovery/data center to support worldwide operations. The key component was providing a facility that could survive an EF5 tornadic event and keep all systems functioning. This concept was derived around a site cast tilt up concrete structure that incorporated faux windows and a roof that was designed as a two-layer system to provide further protection in a high-speed wind event, enabling quick response repairs while providing a water-resistant temporary protection layer.
