When Buhler Chrysler wanted to build a new dealership in Hazlet, New Jersey, they wanted a durable facility that could accommodate expansive windows for their showroom and tilt-up construction was the answer. The new 28,000-square-foot two-story dealership includes a dynamic showroom and vehicle service center. The insulated tilt-up concrete panels have reinforced concrete panel legs to accommodate the large window openings. The building features simple, sleek rustication with a two-tone gray exterior, creating the perfect canvas to prominently display the Chrysler branding and draw attention to the vehicles. The building features a mezzanine with offices and the service center has a clear height of 30 feet to accommodate the equipment. By leveraging the efficiency of tilt-up construction, the shell for this new dealership was completed in just three and a half months, even with winter conditions. LJB Inc. provided structural engineering services for this project.
