North Carolina Department of Transportation officials have selected LJB to provide hydrologic and hydraulic design services over the next three years.
Under an NCDOT Hydraulics Unit Limited Services Contract managed through LJB’s offices in Raleigh and Wilmington, North Carolina, LJB team members will provide services for NCDOT discipline codes 00433 and 00434. The hydrologic and hydraulic design activities under those codes include designing roadway drainage, including ditches, small pipe culverts, and storm sewer systems; performing outfall analysis and drainage investigations; designing bridges, culverts, and roadway fill at FEMA-regulated streams; and evaluating scour and stream instability.
LJB’s contract leaders Roberto Canales, P.E., and Scott Cooke, P.E., CMP, have a combined 56 years of experience in the North Carolina transportation industry, and their team members have direct experience in hydrologic and hydraulic projects, highway floodplain design, National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) stormwater support, and coastal engineering.
