LJB performed the structural engineering and shop drawing detailing for these 60,000-square-foot Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach stations. The West Palm Beach station also connects with the neighborhood’s existing vehicular, trolley and pedestrian networks and establishes links to the Tri-Rail, Palm Tran Downtown Trolley and Amtrak West Palm Beach station. The use of tilt-up panels saved the owner a significant amount of money and construction time over the original cast-in-place concrete design by the ability to construct large sections of the concrete frames on the ground.
