Austin Boulevard Interchange

  •

LJB designed this new interchange on Interstate 75. The project included a new diamond interchange, two miles of surface street reconstruction and widening, lane configuration changes to Interstate 75 and Ohio’s first displaced left turn (DLT) intersection, which shifts left-turning vehicles to the left side of opposing traffic prior to the main intersection.

Due to the number of stakeholders and impact to the adjacent properties, LJB conducted public involvement activities to obtain feedback from stakeholders and the public during the design process. As part of the design, LJB prepared a level 4 CE environmental document including an ecological survey, wetland delineation and other environmental studies.

Project features include traffic analysis, interchange geometrics, aesthetic enhancements, traffic signals and signal system, noise analysis, public involvement, interchange and street lighting, recreational trail and right-of-way acquisition for approximately 50 parcels.
