Chart Industries is a leading global manufacturer of highly engineered equipment, and this new manufacturing facility in Theodore, Alabama, produces the world’s largest shop-built cryogenic tanks. The tanks are used to store liquid gases for the aerospace, marine, clear power, gas by rail and many other industries. The new plant makes tanks so big they have to be floated out by barge because they’re too heavy to be moved on the road. The facility location provides direct access to waterways and railways, giving customers lower transportation costs.
